How Good Are You To Your Dream?

When we started out in life at a very tender age, we had a blur/clear vision of where we want to be and what we want to do with our lives.

Most of these visions are aborted and some are stillborn because the owners made them what they are – dreams!. Mere dreams! Nothing but dreams!

However, at the other end of the spectrum are very (lucky?) few who were true to their dreams. They had a clear, unobstructed view of their visions and they set out to work on them and they allow nothing else to come in until they have reached their destination. Of course, they tweak it here and there along the way but they never deviated from their original vision. Their dreams remain intact and they remain unrelenting without distraction.

What is your dream for your online business, your marriage, your career and your family? How close are you to realizing your dreams what challenges are you facing right now? Don’t you think you can overcome them?

The question is: where are you? Where is your dream? Has it been thrown to the winds at the instance of seemingly insurmountable challenges?

Why did you give up on your laudable idea? Is it time factor? Lack of money? Lack of skills? Or lack of tools? Whatever it is I want you to know that what prevents you from getting to your destination is the challenges you are presently facing. Interestingly, the challenges (or whatever you choose to call it) are not as difficult as you imagine them to be. The challenges are just putting up bold and intimidating face to scare you away, thereby stifling life out of your dream. Inwardly, the challenges are coward and very soft. Arise, be bold and attack every challenges on your way and you will be surprised the way they would melt away.

Often time, what keep you from realizing your dream is inconsistence and lack of perseverance. Probably you saddled yourself with many unrelated dreams and your efforts are never consolidated to achieve any of them. How sad!

I leave you with this: how true you are to your dream is a function of your clear vision; purposefulness, consistence, persistence and positive expectations of the outcome of your efforts.

Swallowing The Bitter Pill Of Inaction!

It is ironical that I have at one time or the other in my articles say one or two things about taking actions that would generate the results we desired. Despite this, I recently swallowed the bitter pill of inaction. This has revealed to me the imperfection in us all as mortals. Often time, we desired or want one thing and despite the fact that it is ours for grabs we still fail to have it simply because we fail to do that which we are supposed to do. Just like Apostle Paul said: “that which I suppose to do I do not; and that which I ought not to do that I do”

On May 1st 2006, I attended a FREE SEMINAR on “4 steps to create a system that would guarantee money into your bank account even why you sleep”.
Expectedly, probably because it was free, many people attended. However the desire of financial freedom must have prompted many people to turn up at the venue of the seminar very early. People trooped in droves because they desired to change their fortune and probably enhance or rewrite their destiny!

However, it was not until almost a year later that many of us came to the realization that we had gone to the seminar to waste not just our time but the organizer’s. Why? WE TOOK LITTLE OR NO ACTION on what we were thought that day and thereby generated Zero result! How sad I was to discovered that I was one of the majority that took little or no action.

In actual fact, I did took action but my efforts in that respect were not concentrated enough to generate the result that was desired. Let’s just say I got distracted along the way. I lost focus and got immersed in the hectic and strenuous life out there.

The gravity of the loss my inaction caused me hit me hard like a sledge hammer when I read and saw the picture on the newspaper of one of the attendees, of the seminar that refused to be among the crowd by taking decisive action and thereby generated expected results, being presented with $500 just because he acted and proved the organizer of the seminar right! In addition to whatever amount of money he might have realized for implementing the program, he received a cool 500 dollar crispy note. What a reward for simply tasking action.

Then it dawn on me that those of us that failed to take action on what we learn at the seminar were simply selfish because we refused to offer the world the best that lies within us. Somebody somewhere is suffering, struggling and wallowing in pains, all kinds of pain, all because we failed to act and do that which we are supposed to do.

But thank God it is never too late because we are still alive, we can still go back to our notes – to the basics- and begin to do that which we are supposed to do and very soon we too, would beginning to enjoy the fruit and unending benefits of taking action and in a short while the taste of the bitter pill of inaction that has pervaded our being will be replaced by sweetness of winning brought about by acting and doing that which are necessary.

It Makes Lots Of Difference!

Taking the first step is very crucial in whatever it is that we want to do in life and taking this crucial first step has been very demanding and difficult for many of us. And until we take the first step nothing happens; our intention is made manifest by our ability to take the first crucial step that will set us in motion and sustain the momentum. This is what makes the difference between a dreamer and a realist; failure and success; winners and losers.

Few weeks ago many people over the world came up with their intentions and expectations for this year. The question is that after the usual euphoria, how many has really taken the first step that we set them on the path to attain or realize their expectations and intentions for the year?

It makes a lot of difference to be able to distinguise New Year resolution from expectations for the year or at a particular point in time! Your New Year Resolution is a mere list of what and what you don’t want to continue doing in the New Year.

On the other hand, your expectations go beyond the mere list of those habits you want to get away from. It encompasses everything you want to achieve in the New Year. The goals you set for yourself for the coming months. Your thinking in the right direction makes a lot of difference.

What are your expectations for your marriage/relationship this year? How do you intend to resolve issues and conflicts? Would you just fold your hands and watch things deteriorating into unbearable situation? Every single step or decision you take to ensure things are put on the right path this year makes a lot of difference.

Many times you want to do some things but you can’t just get started; you have lots of projects lined up for you to carry out; a lot of tasks that you don’t even know where to start. So many business deals to close; the e-mails are flooding in by each passing seconds and lots of sales letters are still not yet written. All these tasks are so overwhelming that you eventually surrendered to the power of inertia - inaction.

But do you have to surrender just like that? Many of us are in this situation because we have on our own volition refused or failed to do something about the situation we don’t like or tasks that we must carry out. What we probably fail to realize is that all we need to do to make a lot of difference and move from the state of inaction to the splendid state of accomplishment is to take that first step, no matter how small or ineffective or imperfect it might seem to be.

You should not aim for perfection before we get started otherwise nothing will be done. That phone call to your business associate could seal the business deal you have been aspiring for. A meeting with your mentor could bring a tremendous change to your personal growth. Taking a step of reconciliation could restore your marriage and bring unimaginable happiness into your life.

Even in a situation where you could not achieve or complete a task or activity by taking a step towards it; that singular step will still make a lot of difference, it means you are a step closer to achieving your goals or completing the task.

The bottom line is envisage or build up your expectation of the exact situation – it could be getting ideal partner, opening up a business etc- that you really desire and do something towards achieving your goal. And this means just take that first step which makes lots of difference.

The climbing of mount Everest actually began with a step and this is what makes the difference between those who had achieved the rare feat of reaching the top of this mount and those whose sit back nurturing the idea in their minds without doing anything to actualise it.

We cannot be where we want to be without leaving where we are and the best thing to do in this situation is to take the bold step towards our destination- this makes a lot of difference.

In conclusion as you move in life, let your expectations about yourself, your spouse, your business, and so on be high. And then go out there and act according to your expectation and in a short while your life would definitely improve. It is your action that would make the difference.

Remember that intention is nothing until you act and do what you intend. The world only knows you for what you do and not what you intend. And what you do at this very moment makes lots of difference to the actualization of your intentions.

Do You Have A Mind Of Your Own?

How often do you really want to do what you know and believe is right but the fear of what people would say or how would so and so react, held you back? Do you remember how many times your good intentions have been sabotaged just because of the opinions and belief of other people? Do you remember how many times you have been subtly talked out of what you want to do?

It is really amazing to discover that many are not making headways in their career, business and marriage because they allowed themselves to be subtly guided by the opinion of other people. They seem not to have minds of their own. Whatever the crowds say is okay is okay by them. They never thought over any issue on their own. On the other hand, those who do think, to a certain extent, on their own sometimes, lack the courage to carry out their intentions; they get carried away by the opinions of the majority. And what they fail to realize is that often times the majority are wrong.

When such people find themselves in any employment they got immersed in the wrong belief fed them by their employers or trade associations. They are so gullible and believe that authorities cannot be queried or call to other even when they are doing the wrong thing or oppressing them. Their minds are so contaminated to the extent that they belief that they cannot get employment elsewhere. They suffer in silence any hardship their task master (Oh! Sorry, their employer!) might be dishing out to them. They are made to belief that they are being favored with the employment and are brainwashed not to question such belief or thought.

You Are Been Ruled By Fear!

Fear. This is one of the weapons that are usually employed to erode away right thinking mind of the majority of the people that keep the in the circle of the struggling masses!

“I am going to sack you!”

“There are too many and better people out there looking for job”

“I can feel your impact in this organization”- even though you are really working yourself out.
“How can you survive if you lost this job”

“Since you haven’t got another job, play safe and just stomach whatever the taskmaster throw at you”
“What can you do on your own at this age or stage of your life?”

“You can never amount to anything in life again”

All these statement are meant to condition your mind to a state of blankness where you will be so scared that you won’t dare to step out and explore the world of abundance that exist outside you cage that you refer to as employment. You are being conditioned to not to ask for more pay because in the first place you have been made to belief that you are being favored.

Break Lose!

The first step is for you to realize that you are been fed with wrong information and at the same time been conditioned for perpetual slavery and being kept in a cage. Then set yourself free by freeing your mind of whatever wrong information or conditioning you have been fed with. Just walk right into your fear, who says you can’t get job elsewhere? If you need to update your skills to achieve this, then upgrade your skills and get out of the cage you called job.

Whatever knowledge you have acquired in the course of your employment could be properly packaged and offer for sale. THIINK! And the solution would come; Then ACT! And you get Results. But the problem or the challenge is that many people are too lazy to think and that is why it is their employers that are doing the thinking for them and in the process oppressing them. The truth is that until they begin to think and act they will remain where they are and what they are- an instrument of creating wealth in another man’s hand!

Similarly, in the business world, even if you are self-employed and you don’t have a mind of your own that would enable you to think on your own and come up with a different idea that is unique, you will continue to struggle while your competitors cart away all the money.

Is that what you want?

Do something, Break loose and Follow your Mind. Do the very thing you really want to do.
